When Dr. Matthew Snyder made the decision to study medicine, his education in athletic training made sports medicine a natural fit. But it was his love for all things mechanical and his curiosity about how things work that inspired him to specialize in orthopedic surgery.
Whether he’s cheering for the Indiana Hoosiers, playing 18 holes, or serving in his longtime role as primary team physician for the Fort Wayne Komets, Dr. Snyder feels at home at almost any court, field, course or rink. The one-on-one attention he provides for athletes extends to his patient care approach as well. To build highly personal treatment plans, he believes strongly in presenting all treatment options and involving each patient in the decision-making process.
When he’s not dodging pucks or caring for patients, Dr. Snyder enjoys traveling, working outside in his yard and garden, and spending time with his kids.
