Dr. Buchholz received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, Orthopaedic Ward Officer, 106th General Hospital, Yokohama, Japan. Dr. Buchholz is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has served as chairman of the Board of Counselors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He was a member of the Academy's Board of Directors, 1991-1993. Dr. Buchholz is a past President of the Indiana Orthopaedic Society. He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
